Coming in 2025, MXL mics will be introducing a wireless microphone system, using the new Bluetooth LE (Low Energy) Audio technology. BTLE offers new performance features, that current technology Bluetooth Classic does not. The new performance features make it possible to be used in a professional Unified Communications setting.
Multiple mics into one receiver – Bluetooth’s MultiStream system allows multiple mics into a single receiver. A single point BTLE receiver makes set up and operation easier than current wireless products that use other wireless technologies such as DECT, and 2.4mhz digital.
Lower cost – BTLE systems will cost much less than the competing technologies. A four mic system with the receiver will sell for under $3,000. Competing systems with four mics cost around $10,000.
Simplified set up – The BTLE system is easy to operate. Each mic pairs to the receiver with the touch of the sync button. No need to choose individual frequencies for each mic. All mics instantly sync and mix in the receiver.
MXL plans to introduce a full line of BTLE mics. The system allows for a Mix-N-Match configuration. Each mic type uses the same board, which allows each unit to pair to the receiver. This give the user flexibility to use whatever configuration best suits the user. The user can wirelessly connect up to four mics, using one receiver.
